Find your pause button
It was through meditation I learned to train my mind, focus and redirect my thoughts. I became the observer of my own thoughts, instead of going further into the thoughts that could just spin on and on in my head.
It is not always easy to sit down in stillness with your own thoughts. But allow yourself to start from where you are, even if only for 30 seconds. After some regular practice, you will be able to sit for a longer time, finding that pause button. When you don’t feel you have the time to sit in silence and just be, that's probably when you need it the most.
Meditation is often combined with different breathing techniques that can help you in different ways. Some help you to lessen anxiety, others to gain more energy or better focus. It can also reduce stress and develop your concentration.
